CORONOVIRUS STATEMENT:
From Stephen Taberner:
“hello punters
nell and I talked at some length about what to do with this year’s singing workshops.
we can’t possibly know what the later months this year are going to hold, and we have
to somehow keep two or three different outcomes in mind. my instinct was to try to keep
the best case scenario open, which does require some financial cost.
accordingly, we hatched the tentative plan to open the singing weekends for bookings,
taking a deposit of £20 per person for each event. the return of the deposit, in the non best case
scenario, could not be guaranteed, and would depend on the good grace of venues. in other words, you might possibly lose the 20 quid… but that at
least means that we have bought the chance to have the weekend.
I hope this makes sense…and at least you know what we’re asking….
may best cases prevail! and some dates have been pushed later to help this happen.”
To clarify, we’re asking you to reserve your place by paying a £20 deposit and letting you know that you may forfeit that deposit if the event is unable to go ahead for reasons related to Covid-19 (including the possibility of Stephen not being allowed to fly over to the UK!). We struggled with this decision, but really believe that this gives us the best chance of success not just for 2020, but beyond.
Stephen and I are blessed that our little 2-person enterprise has incredibly loyal and loving supporters, and we hope that you’re happy with our proposed course of action!
with love
Nell & Stephen
I’m so excited to be going to Norwich – easily one of my favourite cities! Architectural gems abound here, but we’ve chosen a couple of the best to sing in: the Assembly Rooms and St Andrews Hall. Usual Saturday-night mischief traditions will of course also be observed…
The weekend runs from 7.30pm on Friday 20th to 4.30pm on Sunday 22nd November 2020 and costs £135 per person for all tuition.
